Blu on Park
If you and your date are carnivores, start your night off at Blu on Park in the Upper East Side. With a modern, ornate atmosphere in a three floor renovated 1920s-era brownstone, this steakhouse is offering a special three course menu for $95 per person. Entrees include a red snapper puttanesca, braised lamb shank, and a porterhouse steak big enough for up to four people.
Bistango at the Kimberly
Craving Italian? Make a reservation at Bistango, a restaurant that boasts sustainable meat, fish, and more. Bistango is offering a four course prix fixe dinner for two with a Champagne toast for $140. Dishes include the Head of Heels Risotto with lobster and freshly shaved black truffles and the Don’t Go Steaking My Heart, a bone in rib-eye with grilled whole Mayan prawns.
This Valentine’s Day, celebrate love and a good cause. Chef Suvir Saran and Chef de Cuisine Joel Corona have created a five-course Valentine’s Day menu full of aphrodisiacs, with a portion of the proceeds going to Planned Parenthood. Choose from modern American and Indian-influenced courses like fried oysters with guacamole, truffled asparagus toast with quail egg, gruyere, and parmigiana, a5 Wagyu steak salad with saffron tahiree arancini, and a green bean stir fry on basmati rice with coconut curry sauce.
Share a romantic night under the lights of shay&ivy’s lovely garden room with Executive Chef Bradley Warner’s five-course prix fixe menu for $85. Dishes include Kabayaki butter roasted oysters; butter poached lobster with saffron cauliflower “risotto;” dry aged grilled NY Strip with smoked marrow butter, Malbec reduction and truffled whipped potatoes; and Meyer lemon cheesecake with almond biscotti crumble and preserved blackberries.
Whether on an exciting first Valentine’s Day date or your tenth with the love of your life, Washington Square Park’s Da Marcella is an excellent neighborhood trattoria for candlelit conversations and Italian comfort food. Da Marcella will be offering specials such as frutti di mare fritti with an assortment of delicately fried squid, scallops and shellfish for two; lobster ravioli; and a heart shaped fruit tart topped with glazed strawberries.
Make a reservation for an unforgettable night at Chef Roxanne Spruance’s Kingsley restaurant, which just was awarded Zagat Best New Restaurant And Best American Restaurant 2017. Chef Spruance will offer a five-course prix fixe for $95 per person including Kushi oysters; beets with blood orange, white soy, and bee pollen; tagliatelle with black trumpet mushrooms and lardo; butter poached Maine lobster with miso and shisu; and rose petal ice cream.
Bell Book and Candle
For truly innovative cuisine in a charming atmosphere, make your Valentine’s Day reservation at Bell Book and Candle. Focusing on a “rooftop-to-table” concept utilizing its 60 aeroponic towers located six flights above the basement kitchen, chef John Mooney has planned a menu full of special dishes. Classy choices include dishes such as: surf and turf with grass fed beef filet with pan roasted oysters; seared black bass and foie gras with black truffle; and bubbly for $200 per couple.
David Bouley’s upscale Kaiseki restaurant will be treating diners with a five-course Valentine’s Day Lunch Menu ($65) and a six-course prix fixe Valentine’s Day Dinner Menu ($175). Chef Isao Yamada is offering dishes such as lobster with black cod in ocean herbal broth; lavender honey Long Island duck with apple quince puree; and unagi kabayaki over rice in a bento box.
If you’re looking for a trendy hot spot to spend Valentine’s Day, look no further than Chris Santos’ VANDAL. Specials for the night include: herb crusted chicken breast with black truffle polenta, and mushroom jus; New Orleans style surf + turf with Cajun spiced filet, jumbo lump crab cake, and creole hollandaise; roasted duck breast with dirty rice, and a sunny side egg; fettuccine with black winter truffles, and oysters + caviar.
This intimate rustic Osteria located in the heart of SoHo is idea for cozying up with your Valentine. Osteria Morini will be offering specials for two as well as the following cocktails for you to sip on: Il Bacio (the kiss) with Grey Goose, fresh strawberries, lemon, simple, and egg white; and the Il Cupido (the cupid) with Peroni Lager, pomegranate, lemon, and simple.
Pampano’s Chef Lucero Martinez will be serving a romantic and decadent prix fixe menu for two. Dishes include a ceviche sampler of shrimp, tuna and halibut; a heart shaped tri-color baby beet salad; and paella de mariscos with Bombay rice, bay scallops, shrimp, mussels, clams and calamari. Don’t forget to save room for mousse de chocolate blanco.
Clink glasses with your loved one from 15 floors above Lower Manhattan at Mr. Purple. Located on the 15th floor of Hotel Indigo Lower East Side the rooftop bar will be offering a special V-Day sparkling menu for the holiday. Any couple or group that orders a bottle, will receive complimentary house made chocolates. A DJ will also be spinning throughout the night to set the mood. This new West Village restaurant will be serving a la carte specials with aphrodisiac inspirations all V-Day. In an intimate setting, indulge on oysters Rockefeller; braised wild boar with red wine, star anise, black mission figs and crispy leeks; and the “be my valentine cookietella,” a Belgian chocolate chip cookie casserole layered with Nutella and served with homemade vanilla saffron ice cream.
Chazz Palminteri Ristorante Italiano
Looking for Italian hospitality, comfort food, and iconic New York style? Bring your partner to Midtown East for this luxurious prix fixe for $95 per person, featuring dishes such as fresh baked clams; insalata trecolore with a kalamata olive dressing; costolette di vitello; and ravioli al funghi with fresh porcini mushrooms and sautéed black truffle sauce. This inviting modern brasserie features traditional French Provencal cuisine. On Feb. 14, Vauclause is offering a four course menu for $150 per person with highlights that include: tartare de bœuf; épaulettes with rabbit and reblochon cheese ravioli, and black truffle; and poireaux vinaigrette with grilled leeks, and toasted almonds.
Enjoy a cozy dinner at this West Village neighborhood spot. Wallflower’s five-course tasting menu ($105) featuring maple foie gras banana bread with Meyer lemon, pheasant ballontine with braised cabbage, potato, and black garlic; sea bream with celeriac, basil, and pickled sea beans; red velvet bomb with a moscato anglaise, and more.
Celebrate V-Day at Kingside, a romantic modern American bistro located in the Viceroy Central Park New York. In addition to the regular menu, Kingside will be offering the following specialty dishes: smoked parmesan oysters with chili, toasted pine nuts; orange fennel cured duck for two with celery root purée, charred Brussels; and Chocolate Trifle Cupcakes with espresso, bourbon, and mascarpone.

- Bourbon barrel aged tequila: used by the ancient Aztecs to promote relaxation in connection with love
- Fresh strawberries: considered a symbol of the goddess Venus by ancient Romans and said to symbolize fertility
- Fresh pomegranate: known by ancient Greeks to increase testosterone and sexual desire

On Feb. 9, watch as Perugina instructor Christian Pritchard performs a special Valentine’s Day demo for Eataly Flatiron customers from 4 p.m. -7 p.m. in the Eccellenze corner. Guests will learn all about Perugina’s rich history, entertained as Christian gracefully makes chocolate ribbons in the air and delighted when they sample some freshly made Baci! This demo will also take place the next day at Eataly NYC – downtown at noon.
