Entrees include a red snapper puttanesca, braised lamb shank, and a porterhouse steak big enough for up to four people.
Bistango at the Kimberly
Craving Italian? Make a reservation at Bistango, a restaurant that boasts sustainable meat, fish, and more. Bistango is offering a four course prix fixe dinner for two with a Champagne toast for $140. Dishes include the Head of Heels Risotto with lobster and freshly shaved black truffles and the Don’t Go Steaking My Heart, a bone in rib-eye with grilled whole Mayan prawns.
This Valentine’s Day, celebrate love and a good cause. Chef Suvir Saran and Chef de Cuisine Joel Corona have created a five-course Valentine’s Day menu full of aphrodisiacs, with a portion of the proceeds going to Planned Parenthood. Choose from modern American and Indian-influenced courses like fried oysters with guacamole, truffled asparagus toast with quail egg, gruyere, and parmigiana, a5 Wagyu steak salad with saffron tahiree arancini, and a green bean stir fry on basmati rice with coconut curry sauce.
Share a romantic night under the lights of shay&ivy’s lovely garden room with Executive Chef Bradley Warner’s five-course prix fixe menu for $85. Dishes include Kabayaki butter roasted oysters; butter poached lobster with saffron cauliflower “risotto;” dry aged grilled NY Strip with smoked marrow butter, Malbec reduction and truffled whipped potatoes; and Meyer lemon cheesecake with almond biscotti crumble and preserved blackberries.
Whether on an exciting first Valentine’s Day date or your tenth with the love of your life, Washington Square Park’s Da Marcella is an excellent neighborhood trattoria for candlelit conversations and Italian comfort food. Da Marcella will be offering specials such as frutti di mare fritti with an assortment of delicately fried squid, scallops and shellfish for two; lobster ravioli; and a heart shaped fruit tart topped with glazed strawberries.
Make a reservation for an unforgettable night at Chef Roxanne Spruance’s Kingsley restaurant, which just was awarded Zagat Best New Restaurant And Best American Restaurant 2017. Chef Spruance will offer a five-course prix fixe for $95 per person including Kushi oysters; beets with blood orange, white soy, and bee pollen; tagliatelle with black trumpet mushrooms and lardo; butter poached Maine lobster with miso and shisu; and rose petal ice cream.
Bell Book and Candle
For truly innovative cuisine in a charming atmosphere, make your Valentine’s Day reservation at Bell Book and Candle. Focusing on a “rooftop-to-table” concept utilizing its 60 aeroponic towers located six flights above the basement kitchen, chef John Mooney has planned a menu full of special dishes. Classy choices include dishes such as: surf and turf with grass fed beef filet with pan roasted oysters; seared black bass and foie gras with black truffle; and bubbly for $200 per couple.
David Bouley’s upscale Kaiseki restaurant will be treating diners with a five-course Valentine’s Day Lunch Menu ($65) and a six-course prix fixe Valentine’s Day Dinner Menu ($175). Chef Isao Yamada is offering dishes such as lobster with black cod in ocean herbal broth; lavender honey Long Island duck with apple quince puree; and unagi kabayaki over rice in a bento box.
If you’re looking for a trendy hot spot to spend Valentine’s Day, look no further than Chris Santos’ VANDAL. Specials for the night include: herb crusted chicken breast with black truffle polenta, and mushroom jus; New Orleans style surf + turf with Cajun spiced filet, jumbo lump crab cake, and creole hollandaise; roasted duck breast with dirty rice, and a sunny side egg; fettuccine with black winter truffles, and oysters + caviar.
This intimate rustic Osteria located in the heart of SoHo is idea for cozying up with your Valentine. Pampano’s Chef Lucero Martinez will be serving a romantic and decadent prix fixe menu for two. Dishes include a ceviche sampler of shrimp, tuna and halibut; a heart shaped tri-color baby beet salad; and paella de mariscos with Bombay rice, bay scallops, shrimp, mussels, clams and calamari. Clink glasses with your loved one from 15 floors above Lower Manhattan at Mr. Purple. Located on the 15th floor of Hotel Indigo Lower East Side the rooftop bar will be offering a special V-Day sparkling menu for the holiday. This new West Village restaurant will be serving a la carte specials with aphrodisiac inspirations all V-Day. On Feb. 14, Vauclause is offering a four course menu for $150 per person with highlights that include: tartare de bœuf; épaulettes with rabbit and reblochon cheese ravioli, and black truffle; and poireaux vinaigrette with grilled leeks, and toasted almonds.
Enjoy a cozy dinner at this West Village neighborhood spot. Celebrate V-Day at Kingside, a romantic modern American bistro located in the Viceroy Central Park New York.
